Specialist Medicals

Roodlane's team of doctors includes approved medical examiners for a number of specialist medicals. These medicals are only undertaken through corporate arrangements.

Aviation Pilots

Dr McRae is an Authorised Medical Examiner for the UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and the European Joint Aviation Authorities (JAA). She can undertake medical examinations for private pilots i.e. Class 2 initial, revalidation and renewal medicals. She can undertake medical examinations for private pilots for fixed-wing aircraft, helicopters, balloons and micro-lights.

Seafarers
Maritime and Coastguard Agency

Dr Gavin Webb-Wilson and Dr Peter Guider are both approved medical examiners under the UK Merchant Shipping Regulations.

Swedish National Maritime Administration

Dr Peter Guider is appointed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Stockholm to be Medical Officer for Swedish Seamen.

Please remember to avoid exposure to loud noise for 16 hours before your appointment and remember to bring your:

Offshore employees
Offshore Medical Certificate (in accordance with Oil and Gas UK Medical Guidelines) (previously known as UKOOA medical)

Dr Gavin Webb-Wilson, Dr Peter Guider, Dr Geoff Earnshaw and Dr Harry Trakoshis are all approved examining physicians for Oil and Gas UK for employees working in the UK sector of the North Sea.

The examination will include audiometry and lung function tests but please note that further investigations (such as blood tests, chest x-ray or ECG) may be required to clarify clinical findings before we are able to confirm fitness.

Please avoid loud noise exposure for the previous 16 hours before your medical examination and remember to bring certified photographic id such as your passport with you, and spectacles or contact lenses if worn.

Norwegian Continental Shelf

Dr Gavin Webb-Wilson and Dr Peter Guider are both approved medical examiners to the Norwegian Board of Health in Rogaland.

Please avoid loud noise exposure for the previous 16 hours before your medical examination and remember to bring certified photographic id such as your passport with you, and spectacles or contact lenses if worn. Ionising radiation

Dr Peter Guider is an appointed doctor by the Health and Safety Executive under the Ionising Radiations Regulations.
